About Us

TIE Stables' Mission

Turtle Island Equestrian Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 82-1645288), is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of horses and ponies at risk, including those from killer pens, abandonment, or from owners unable to continue their care. Our commitment extends beyond rescue; we provide these animals with a nurturing home on our farm, where they thrive in a loving, healthy environment. Central to our mission is the education and enrichment of individuals in horseback riding, care, and maintenance, offering lessons to children and adults alike. We provide opportunities for formal competition in horse shows and enjoyable trail riding experiences. Additionally, we facilitate the adoption of rehabilitated horses to suitable homes. A key initiative is the formation of the Turtle Island Equestrians Team (TIET), an official Native American Equestrian Team for competitive representation. Remaining unaffiliated with any religious or political entities, our focus is steadfast on equine welfare and community enrichment through equestrian sports and education.
